How Daisy's Look Has Changed
When Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land, she had pale skin, long orange hair, and a red crown. Her dress had a white pattern. In NES Open Tournament Golf, her hair became more of an auburn color.
Later, in games like Mario Tennis and Mario Party 3, her look changed. She got a rounder face and slightly darker skin. Her accessories, like her crown, earrings, and brooch, started to feature a daisy flower design. This daisy theme has stayed with her ever since.
In Mario Party 4, Daisy's design changed again. She got shorter hair and a new dress. Her skin became paler once more. Today, Daisy's skin has a pink tone. Princess Daisy and Princess Peach also have different gloves. Peach's gloves go up to her mid-triceps, but Daisy's stop at her wrists. Daisy is usually the same height as Peach, though she might look shorter in some games.
In her early games, Daisy wore a red crown. During some Nintendo 64 games, she wore a pink one. Now, she wears a gold crown, just like Peach. In most games, Daisy wears yellow and orange clothes, usually a collared dress. This matches Peach's pink fashion, just like Luigi's outfit matches Mario's.
In Mario sports games, Daisy and Peach are the only characters who always wear different outfits from their usual ones. Daisy often wears an orange and yellow sports outfit with daisy accessories. In Super Mario Strikers, she wears a two-piece outfit. In Mario Hoops 3-on-3, she has a second costume you can unlock. In Mario Strikers Charged, she looks similar to her Super Mario Strikers outfit, but with armor plating.
Daisy in Movies
Princess Daisy was one of the main characters in the Super Mario Bros. movie. She was played by actress Samantha Mathis.
In the movie, Mario's younger brother Luigi (played by John Leguizamo) falls in love with Daisy, who is an archaeologist. She gets kidnapped by the Koopa Cousins, Iggy and Spike. They take her to another dimension called Dinohattan. This is a land where dinosaurs evolved into the main species.
Dinohattan is ruled by Koopa (Dennis Hopper). He took over Daisy's father by turning him into a fungus using a special de-evolution gun. Daisy had a piece of a meteorite that could merge Dinohattan and Manhattan. Koopa wanted to use this to take over the human world.
After the Mario Bros. defeat Koopa, Daisy decides to stay in Dinohattan to help her father, who is now back to normal. The movie ends with Daisy showing up at Mario and Luigi's apartment, telling them there's a new problem. This hinted at a sequel that was never made.
