Wolves, Witches and Giants facts for kids
Wolves Witches and Giants is a fun cartoon show that tells classic fairy tales in a really funny way! It was narrated by Spike Milligan, a famous comedian. The show features a tricky wolf, a mean witch, and a huge giant as some of its main bad guys.
The idea for the show came from an old music album that Spike Milligan also performed on. A musician named Ed Welch wrote the show. Simon and Sara Bor from Honeycomb Animation were the directors and producers.
The show had four series, each with 13 episodes, plus three special episodes. It first aired on ITV from 1995 to 1999. Later, it was shown again on Discovery Kids (UK) until 2007. Then, CITV brought it back in 2008, and it's still running sometimes!
The series brought to life many famous stories like Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
The same people who made Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids, Tube Mice, Binka, and Funky Valley also made this show.

Fun Modern Twists
Even though the stories are set in olden times, the show often added funny modern touches. For example, the Wily Wolf might drive a cool blue sports car. A tailor might be seen playing on a handheld game console.
Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother, while in bed, might watch an Australian soap on her TV. And the Wicked Witch might even use a microwave! These modern items made the old stories even funnier.
