Xavier Moyano (born December 2, 1981) is a musician, producer, and teacher from Argentina. He started his music journey in 1999 as a guitarist who played for different bands and artists (a session guitarist).

From 2003 to 2008, he was the guitarist for the rock/pop band "AVe Cesar." After that, he became a solo artist, playing rock music with his instruments. He also played guitar and wrote songs for the metal band "Seliger" (from Argentina and Brazil) between 2009 and 2011. From 2014 to 2019, he was the guitarist and producer for "Cossas Novas," a band that mixed Bossa Nova, Fusion, and Latin-Jazz music. Since 2018, he has been a guitarist and co-producer for "Rock Bro's," a classic rock band. Today, Xavier is a solo guitarist, plays for other musicians, and produces music.

Xavier has traveled to over 100 cities in ten countries to share his music. He also teaches workshops about music, how to improvise, mixing different music styles, and how to manage cultural projects. He gives guitar clinics and classes at music schools, universities, and academies across South America.

Amazing Performances

Xavier has played with many famous musicians. He performed with Pablo Soler from Buenos Aires several times. In 2009, he played with Carina Alfie in the NOA region, which includes Tucuman, Salta, and Santiago.

He was part of the "South American Guitar Masters" tours in 2004, 2006, and 2007 with Marcos DeRos from Brazil. He also joined the "S3 Ibero American Guitar Fest" in 2008 with Manuel Seoane from Spain. In 2009, Xavier played at the "Guitar Fest Buenos Aires" with eleven other guitarists from Colombia, Korea, and Argentina.

Xavier was the guitarist and producer for the rock/pop band AVe Cesar from 2003 to 2008. With this band, he played at big events like the Cosquin Rock and Tucuman Rock Festival. They shared the stage with famous bands and artists such as Bersuit, Los Piojos, Luis Alberto Spinetta, León Gieco, and many more.

Later, he played in the NOA region with La Renga in three cities: Tucuman, Catamarca, and Salta. He also opened the show for the British band Motörhead in Córdoba.

In March 2006, Xavier celebrated playing his 100th show! He was part of a huge music celebration called SAGM with Marcos DeRos and Pablo Soler. The celebration ended with Xavier and many other musicians playing together on stage, performing the song "Rockin' in the Free World".

In September 2009, the University of Tucuman Symphony Orchestra invited him to play in their "Concierto Pop de Primavera." They played music from movies in four shows at Teatro Alberdi. In November 2009, he was part of "Adagio," a show with the Symphony Orchestra's baritone singer. He performed songs like "The Phantom of the Opera" and a tango version of "Roxanne" from the movie Moulin Rouge.

In December 2009, he played with the metal band "Seliger" in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They opened the show for the band "ANGRA" from Brazil. In October 2010, Xavier and Seliger performed with Sonata Arctica from Finland in Buenos Aires. They also played in Rosario, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay. In December, he shared the stage with Gilby Clarke, who used to play with Guns N' Roses, in La Paz, Bolivia. In 2011, he played with Seliger at Teatro Flores in Buenos Aires, sharing the stage with Blind Guardian from Germany.

In 2012, Xavier went on a "South America Guitar Tour" in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru. He played with Bluecifer from Chile in Lima, Peru, opening the show for the famous Swedish band "Europe." In 2013, he played in La Paz (Bolivia), Iquique (Chile), Mendoza, and Tucuman (Argentina).

In 2014, he recorded the album "Versions" with "Cossas Novas" in Chile. This album featured classic songs played in Bossa, Fusion, and Latin-Rock styles. They toured South America, visiting cities in Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. In 2015, they toured the Pacific Coasts (Chile / Peru / Ecuador), playing shows in restaurants, pubs, and hotels. In 2016, he played in Guayaquil, Ecuador, with the "Latinoamericanto" show and the "Arpa de América" group. He also played in Ecuador and Colombia. In 2017, he toured Colombia and Venezuela. His "Caribeña Amazónica Andina" tour took him to Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina. In 2018, he played in Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile with different bands.

In 2019, he performed at the "8th International Guitar Festival" in Sucre, Bolivia, with guitarists from Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, and Japan. He was also invited to play with the Sucre Big Band for their first show. He appeared at the FIC 2019 (International Culture Festival) as an artist and teacher, and at the International Jazz Festival from Tucumán. He toured over 10 cities in 4 countries, giving shows and workshops to share a message of unity through music.

In 2020, he was part of the "Live From Home" online concert series, where artists from 20 countries performed. He also participated in the "Musical September 2020" at the San Martin Theater in Tucumán. In December 2020, he organized the "Mega Guitar Festival," bringing together 36 guitarists from 17 countries to share a message of unity.

In 2021, his band "Rock Bro's" (where he is guitarist, musical director, and producer) released a video of a live show with classic rock hits. This video was recorded in Tucumán, Argentina, and produced in Argentina and the United States.

This year, Xavier celebrates 25 years of playing the guitar! He is recording a tribute album to Charly Garcia with guest artists, playing hits from Charly's career.
