- King William II of England led his army into Normandy, a region in France.
- Ladislaus I of Hungary, who was the King of Hungary, took control of an area called Slavonia.
- King Stjepan II of Croatia passed away. He was the last ruler from the Trpimirović dynasty, a family that had ruled Croatia for many years. He didn't have anyone to take over his kingdom.
