Barbora's Playing Style

Barbora Krejčíková is an aggressive tennis player who can play well all over the court. She is known for her strong serve, powerful groundstrokes (shots hit after the ball bounces), and excellent net play. She can hit the ball with great power and accuracy, both across the court and down the line.

Her two-handed backhand is one of her best shots. She can hit amazing angles with it and win points from anywhere. She also uses a slice on her backhand to change the speed of the game. Her forehand is also strong, hit with a lot of spin to push opponents back. She sometimes uses a sliced forehand, which is rare in modern tennis, to surprise her opponents.

Because of her experience in doubles, Barbora is very good at the net. She has many different shots she can use when she is close to the net. She sometimes uses a "serve-and-volley" tactic, where she serves and then immediately runs to the net. She also has a very effective "drop shot" that lands softly near the net, surprising opponents. If an opponent manages to reach her drop shot, Barbora can quickly finish the point with a strong "volley" or a perfectly placed "lob" (a high shot over the opponent). She even developed her lob shot as a junior player to hit the ball over taller opponents!

Even though she plays aggressively, Barbora moves very well, is fast, and has great stamina. She can defend very well and is good at "counterpunching" (hitting back strong shots). Her first serve is powerful, reaching speeds of about 177 km/h (110 mph). She also has good second serves that make it hard for opponents to score easy points. Sometimes, she takes risks on her second serve, which can lead to double faults. Because of her aggressive style and strong defense, Barbora is a tough opponent on all court surfaces. However, she plays best on clay courts, where the ball bounces high and the game is slower, allowing her to use her playing style perfectly.

Barbora Krejčíková signed a deal in 2022 with Fila for her tennis clothes, shoes, and gear. She is also supported by Head for her racquets, specifically using the Head Extreme racquet. She is also sponsored by Roko-Motor, which is the Czech part of Jaguar Land Rover.
