Christopher Mason Savino (born October 2, 1971) is an American writer, comic book artist, and animator. He is best known for creating the popular animated series The Loud House.
Savino has also worked on many other famous cartoons. These include The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. He has been nominated for several important awards for his work. These include three Primetime Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards.

Early life and inspiration
Chris Savino was born and grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan. He went to Dondero High School. He is one of ten children in his family. He has five sisters and four brothers. This large family later inspired his show The Loud House.
A big influence on him was the cartoon Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures. He loved how different its animation style was. It stood out from other cartoons in the 1980s.
Career in animation
Savino started working in animation in 1991. He has worked for many well-known animation studios. These include Nickelodeon Animation Studios, Hanna-Barbera, and Cartoon Network Studios.
He was a main director for the last two seasons of Dexter's Laboratory. He also directed episodes of The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. He helped write for shows like The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Mickey Mouse.
In June 2014, Nickelodeon decided to make his short cartoon The Loud House into a full series. The show first aired on May 2, 2016. It became very popular with kids and families.
Other creative projects
Chris Savino has also written books. In November 2019, he released his first children's novel. It was called Coal: A Cautionary Christmas Tale. Later that year, he published the first part of his graphic novel series, Bigfoot & Gray.
In March 2020, he shared his knowledge in a non-fiction book. It is a guide for writing cartoons. The book is titled Writing Cartoons in 4 Acts. Since January 2020, he also creates a Sunday comic strip called For Brothers.
Awards and recognition
Chris Savino has been recognized for his work in animation. He was nominated for an Annie Award in 2000 for writing an episode of The Powerpuff Girls. He also received three Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for his work on The Powerpuff Girls: 'Twas the Fight Before Christmas, My Life as A Teenage Robot: Escape from Cluster Prime, and Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. In 2011, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for directing Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.
