This group included fighters like Gilbert Melendez and the Diaz brothers, Nick and Nate Diaz. Kron made his MMA debut on December 23, 2014. He faced Hyung Soo-Kim and won by armbar in the first round.

Kron then faced Cub Swanson on October 12, 2019. He lost this fight by a unanimous decision. This fight earned him a Fight of the Night bonus. Many people were surprised that Kron chose to strike with Swanson. They thought he would have had an advantage if he had taken the fight to the ground. Members of the Gracie family, including his father Rickson, later talked about this decision.
2023: Return to the Octagon
After a four-year break, Kron returned to the UFC on May 6, 2023. He fought Charles Jourdain at UFC 288. Kron lost the fight by unanimous decision. Some people, including UFC president Dana White, felt that Kron's performance was "very limited."

In January 2021, Kron announced he was closing his California academy. He moved to Montana to open a new BJJ school. This move was due to the COVID-19 rules in California.
