La Berrichonne de Châteauroux, often called La Berrichonne or simply Châteauroux, is a French football club. It is based in the city of Châteauroux, France. The club was started in 1916 and is part of a larger sports organization. For the 2025–26 season, the team plays in the Championnat National. This is the third level of football in France. The club has only played one season in the top French league, Ligue 1, which was in 1997–98.
In 2004, Châteauroux made it to the final of the French Cup. They lost the match 1–0 to Paris Saint-Germain. However, because Paris Saint-Germain finished high in their league, Châteauroux still got to play in the UEFA Cup the next season. In the UEFA Cup, Châteauroux lost in the first round to a Belgian team called Club Brugge.
Châteauroux plays its home games at the Stade Gaston Petit. This stadium can hold 17,173 fans. Usually, between 6,000 and 7,000 people come to watch the games. Visiting fans sit at one end of the Credit Agricole stand. The team's uniform is a deep red and blue. They wear a vertically striped shirt and blue shorts. Nike makes Châteauroux's football kits.
