List of Bangladesh Premier League captains facts for kids
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is a super exciting professional Twenty20 cricket tournament in Bangladesh. It's organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). In cricket, a captain is like the team's leader on the field. They make important decisions during the game. As of February 19, 2022, 50 different players have had the chance to lead their teams in at least one BPL match.

Who are the Top Captains?
Mashrafe Mortaza, a former captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team, has played the most matches as a captain. He led his team in all 100 matches he played! He also holds the record for the most wins as a captain, with 64 victories. That's a lot of wins!
Some captains, like Mosharraf Hossain, Shoaib Malik, and Tom Abell, have won 100% of their matches. But they only captained for a few games (at most three). If we look at captains who led their teams in at least 10 matches, Imrul Kayes has the best winning record, winning 73.80% of his 42 matches.
On the other side, Mahmudullah has lost the most matches as a captain, with 42 losses. Peter Trego led his team in five matches but didn't win any of them.
Many players have captained more than one team. Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Tamim Iqbal, Alok Kapali, Mashrafe Mortaza, Shahriar Nafees, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Misbah-ul-Haq, Imrul Kayes, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Nabi, Mehidy Hasan, Naeem Islam, and Mosaddek Hossain have all led two or more teams. Mushfiqur Rahim is special because he has captained seven different teams in the BPL, which is more than anyone else!
Most of the captains, 22 out of 50, are from Bangladesh. The others come from different countries around the world, like England, Sri Lanka, Australia, Pakistan, West Indies, New Zealand, Afghanistan, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
