Tettegouche State Park, pronounced “tet-a-gooch”, is a beautiful Minnesota state park. It is located on the north shore of Lake Superior. You can find it about 58 miles (93 km) northeast of Duluth. The park is in Lake County along scenic Highway 61.

The park's name comes from the Tettegouche Club. This club was a group of local business people. They bought the land in 1910. The club protected the area for many years. Later, in 1971, the deLaittres family bought it. In 1979, the state of Minnesota bought 3,400 acres (1,376 ha) from the Nature Conservancy. This land included the Tettegouche Camp. This new land was added to Baptism River State Park. The park was then renamed Tettegouche State Park.
