Story of Moo Mesa
The story of Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa begins with a strange event. A special comet, called a "cow-met," hit the Western plains in the late 1800s. This comet created a huge, cloud-covered mesa (a flat-topped mountain).
Everything on top of this mesa was changed by the comet's light. Animals "evolved" into "bovipomorphic" beings, meaning they became like cows but could walk and talk like people. These new cow-people were inspired by old stories of the Wild West. They built a community that looked just like an old Western town, complete with good guys and bad guys.
The show is all about keeping justice in this unique frontier land. The town of Cowtown had a Mayor named Oscar Bulloney and a Sheriff named Terrorbull, who weren't very good at stopping crime. So, a group of heroes called the C.O.W.-Boys stepped in to help. The "C.O.W." stands for "Code of the West."
The C.O.W.-Boys are led by Marshal Moo Montana. His team includes the strong Dakota Dude and the quick Cowlorado Kid. They work hard to protect Cowtown from various outlaws and gangs.
Meet the Characters
The C.O.W.-Boys
- Marshal Moo Montana (voiced by Pat Fraley) - He is the brave leader of the C.O.W.-Boys and the marshal of Moo Mesa. Moo Montana is very quick and always ready to fight bad guys. He lives by the "Code of the West," which he sometimes makes up as he goes along! His gun shoots star-shaped badges, and his horse is named Cyclone.
- The Dakota Dude (voiced by Jim Cummings) - Dakota is the quiet but strong member of the team. He is usually calm, even when things are dangerous. Dakota is scared of heights. His horse is named Rebel.
- Cowlorado Kid (voiced by Jeff Bennett) - Cowlorado is a young Holstein cattle bull and the youngest C.O.W.-Boy. He thinks he's a ladies' man and has a great singing voice. He's also skilled with a lasso and a guitar. He is not a full deputy yet but tries hard to prove himself. His horse is named Jezebel.
Friends and Allies
- Lily Bovine (voiced by Charity James) - Lily owns the local saloon called The Tumbleweed. She is a kind bartender and a good friend to Moo Montana.
- Cody Calf (voiced by Troy Davidson) - Cody is a young calf who looks up to Marshal Moo Montana. He hopes to become a lawcow when he grows up. Cody often tries to help the C.O.W.-Boys, which sometimes gets him into trouble, but he can also be very helpful.
- Cowlamity Kate Cudster (voiced by Kay Lenz) - Kate is a tough tomboy who runs a very successful mine. She is as strong and skilled as any bull, especially with a lasso. Her name is a fun play on the famous Wild West hero, Calamity Jane.
