  • On April 7, a famous school called Charles University was founded in Prague. This was a big step for education in Europe.
  • King Edward III of England created a special group called the Order of the Garter. This was the first group of its kind in England, honoring brave and loyal knights.
  • A new school, Gonville Hall, was started. This school later became a part of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge in England.
  • The city of Pskov gained its independence from the Novgorod Republic. This meant Pskov became its own separate area, known as the Pskov Republic.
  • It is believed that Hangzhou in China became the largest city in the world around this time. It took this title from Cairo, the capital of Mamluk Egypt.
  • A truce, or peace agreement, was made between England and France. This agreement was set to last until the year 1532.
