Castrisch is a small, former town in the beautiful Graubünden region of Switzerland. It's located in an area called Surselva. Before 2014, Castrisch was its own separate town.
On January 1, 2014, Castrisch joined with many other nearby towns. These included Ilanz, Ladir, Luven, Pitasch, Riein, Ruschein, Schnaus, Sevgein, Duvin, Pigniu, Rueun, and Siat. Together, they formed a new, bigger municipality called Ilanz/Glion. For a long time, until 1943, Castrisch was known by its German name, Kästris.
