Coach Salih Bulgurlu saw his talent and gave him special training. Bulgurlu helped Emre for four years, teaching him important skills and improving his fitness. Soon, Galatasaray legend Bülent Ünder discovered Emre. Ünder was a close friend of Galatasaray's manager, Fatih Terim. He believed Emre would become a big star in Europe.
