Eswatini, a country in Southern Africa, first joined the Olympic Games in 1972. At that time, the country was known as Swaziland. They did not participate in the next two Olympic Games. However, Eswatini returned for the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles. Since then, Eswatini has sent athletes to every Summer Olympics.
Eswatini made its first and only appearance at the Winter Olympics in 1992. Despite their many appearances, athletes from Eswatini have not yet won any Olympic medals. The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (which used to be called the Swaziland Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association) has been helping Eswatini's athletes compete since 1972.
