List of tallest buildings in Florida facts for kids

This article lists the tallest buildings in Florida. These are buildings that stand at least 170 meters (about 550 feet) tall. The very tallest building in Florida is the Panorama Tower. It has 85 floors and reaches 265 meters (868 feet) into the sky. It's located in the City of Miami's Brickell area and was finished in 2017.
Florida has 45 buildings that are 167 meters (550 feet) or taller. Most of these tall buildings are in the City of Miami. In fact, over 94% of them are in the larger Miami metropolitan area. The rest are found in Tampa and Jacksonville. You won't find any of these super tall buildings in the Orlando area. Miami itself has one of the biggest collections of skyscrapers in the United States, ranking third after New York City and Chicago.
Most of Miami's skyscrapers are in the Greater Downtown Miami area. This includes neighborhoods like the Central Business District, Arts & Entertainment District, Brickell, and Edgewater.

This list shows the tallest buildings in Florida that are at least 167 meters (550 feet) tall. We measure their height from the ground to the very top, including spires and cool architectural parts. We don't count antenna masts. If two or more buildings have the same height, they share a rank, shown with an equals sign (=). The "Year" column tells you when the building was finished.

How Florida's Tallest Buildings Changed Over Time
This list shows buildings that were once the tallest in Florida, starting from the early 1900s when many skyscrapers began to be built. Since 1902, six of Florida's tallest buildings have been in Jacksonville, five in Miami, two in Tampa, and one in Pensacola.
