Skating with Nicole Della Monica
Matteo started skating with Nicole Della Monica in late 2011. They trained mostly in Zanica. Their first international competition was the 2012 Bavarian Open, where they won a bronze medal. They finished fifteenth at the 2012 World Championships.
In the 2012–13 season, they placed ninth at the European Championships. They also finished fourteenth at the World Championships. This helped Italy get two spots for the 2014 Olympic pairs event. They also won bronze at the 2013 Winter Universiade.
For the 2013–14 season, they earned a silver medal at the Italian Championships. They then placed eighth at the European Championships. Della Monica and Guarise were chosen to represent Italy at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Matteo had a knee injury just before the Olympics, but they still competed, finishing sixteenth.
Over the next few seasons, Della Monica and Guarise continued to improve. They won their first national title in December 2015. They also earned medals at ISU Challenger Series events. In the 2016–17 season, they won two Challenger events: the Lombardia Trophy and the Golden Spin of Zagreb.
The 2017–18 season was very successful for them. They won silver medals at the Lombardia Trophy and Finlandia Trophy. At the 2019 European Championships, they placed fourth. At the 2019 World Championships, they finished eighth.
The 2019–20 season was challenging due to an injury to Nicole's shoulder. They still won the Italian title again and placed fourth at the 2020 European Championships. The World Championships were canceled due to the pandemic.

Beccari and Guarise made their international debut at the 2022 CS Warsaw Cup, finishing fourth. They won a bronze medal at their first Italian championships together. They placed seventh at the 2023 European Championships.
