The Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King is a famous helicopter made in the USA by a company called Sikorsky. It was used by the U.S. Navy for many years, from 1961 to 2006. Its main jobs were finding and stopping submarines, helping with search and rescue missions, and carrying people or supplies.
Other countries like Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom also built the Sea King under a special agreement for their own military forces. The civilian version of this helicopter is known as the Sikorsky S-61.
