About Studio Gang
This company was started by Jeanne Gang in 1997. She is a very talented architect.
One of their first buildings was the Bengt Sjostrom Starlight Theatre. It was finished in 2003 and got great reviews. The Chinese American Service League Kam Liu Center was completed the next year. This project also earned them a lot of praise.
The Aqua Tower and the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo were both finished in 2010. These projects made Studio Gang famous around the world. Architecture experts loved their designs.
The WMS Boathouse at Clark Park and the Eleanor Boathouse at Park 571 are special. Their roofs look like sculptures. They show the motion of rowing a boat. These are two of four boathouses built to make the Chicago River a better place.
Studio Gang also worked on the Northerly Island project. This used to be an airfield. Now it's a public park by the lake. It also has a natural habitat for animals. It opened in 2015. As of May 2017, more than 90 people work at Studio Gang.
