Super Bowl LX: The Big Game
Where the Game Was Played
The NFL chooses where the Super Bowl will be played. They no longer have cities bid for the event. Instead, cities propose to host, and the league owners vote. On May 22, 2023, the NFL announced that Levi's Stadium would host Super Bowl LX. This stadium is in Santa Clara, California. It is also the home of the San Francisco 49ers.
This was the third Super Bowl held in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was the second time Levi's Stadium hosted the big game. Other Super Bowls in the area included Super Bowl XIX in 1985. Super Bowl 50 was also played at Levi's Stadium in 2016.
The Game's Special Logo
Since Super Bowl LVI, each Super Bowl logo has included Roman numerals. These numerals also show pictures from the host city. The Super Bowl LX logo was shown on February 9, 2025. It featured images from the Bay Area. These included the San Francisco skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge, and redwood trees.
Fun Events Before the Game
Many exciting events happened during Super Bowl week. The Super Bowl Experience was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. This event lets fans enjoy interactive games and activities. The 2026 Pro Bowl Games also took place at the Moscone Center. They were held on February 3, just before the Super Bowl.
Meet the Teams: Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks had a fantastic 2025 season. They won 14 games and lost only 3. This was under their coach, Mike Macdonald. This Super Bowl was their fourth time playing in the championship. They last won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013.

They also brought in new wide receivers. These included Cooper Kupp, a former Offensive Player of the Year. Rashid Shaheed also joined the team. On defense, they added linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence.
Their offense became much stronger. Sam Darnold threw for over 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the league in receiving yards. He was named Offensive Player of the Year. Kenneth Walker III led the team in rushing yards. Zach Charbonnet scored the most rushing touchdowns.

The Patriots had struggled in previous years. But they made a big comeback this season. They drafted quarterback Drake Maye in 2024. He became a Pro Bowl player in his first year. Coach Mike Vrabel, a former Patriots player, joined the team. Josh McDaniels also returned as their offensive coordinator.
They improved their offense by adding wide receiver Stefon Diggs. They also drafted running back TreVeyon Henderson. Their offense became one of the best in the league.
