Dave Fennoy began his career as a DJ in the San Francisco bay area. This is where he first became interested in voice acting. He made a special recording called a "demo tape" to show off his voice. A talent agent named Joan Spangler saw his tape and decided to work with him.

His very first audition was for a commercial for the California Lottery, and he got the job! After this quick success, things became very slow. To improve, he started taking voice acting classes. In 1989, another agent, Leigh Gilbert, asked him to join her agency in Los Angeles. At that time, Fennoy was a morning DJ at a local radio station, KSOL, so he turned down the offer.

In February 1990, Dave Fennoy was let go from the radio station. He then contacted Leigh Gilbert and moved to Los Angeles. Once there, he started getting many jobs. He voiced commercials, TV show promotions, and cartoon characters.

First Voice Roles

One of his first voice acting jobs was for a phone game where he played RoboCop. In 1990, he voiced his first character in an animated TV show. He played Dick Scott in New Kids on the Block. The next year, he voiced famous athlete Bo Jackson in the cartoon ProStars.

Later, in 2008, Fennoy started doing the short voice-overs you hear at the beginning of Hulu video clips. He is the voice that says, "The following program is brought to you with limited commercial interruption by..."
