Pokémon (which means "Pocket Monsters") is a super popular series of video games. It's all about catching, training, and battling amazing creatures called Pokémon! The main games are role-playing games (RPGs), where you go on an adventure, but there are also many other types of Pokémon games like puzzles, fighting games, and even digital pet games. Most Pokémon games have been made for Nintendo handhelds and consoles, from the old Game Boy to the newest Nintendo Switch.

Mobile Games

These are games you can play on your phone or tablet.

Pokédex 3D and Pokédex 3D Pro

Pokédex 3D was a free app for the Nintendo 3DS that showed you 3D models and information about Pokémon. You could unlock more Pokémon over time.

Later, Pokédex 3D Pro was released. This paid version had all Pokémon available from the start and added new features like background music and different modes. The original free app was removed when the Pro version came out. An iPhone/iPad version was also available for a while.

Pokémon Dream Radar

This was a downloadable game for the Nintendo 3DS that used augmented reality (AR). You could use your camera to find and catch Pokémon in your real-world surroundings. You could then send these Pokémon to your Pokémon Black 2 or White 2 game.

Pokémon Bank

Pokémon Bank was an online storage system for your Nintendo 3DS. It let you store up to 3000 Pokémon from various main series games, like X, Y, Sun, and Moon. There was also an extra app called Poké Transporter that let you move Pokémon from older games like Black, White, and the Virtual Console versions of Red, Blue, and Yellow. Pokémon Bank became free to use on March 27, 2023, when the 3DS eShop closed.

Pokémon Photo Booth

This mobile app, released in 2016, lets you edit your photos with Pokémon filters and banners.

Pokémon Go

Released in July 2016, Pokémon Go is a super popular mobile game that uses your phone's GPS to let you find and catch Pokémon in the real world! You walk around to find Pokémon, visit PokéStops to get items, and battle at Gyms. It started with the first group of Pokémon and has added many more from different regions over time. It's free to play, but you can also buy items in the game.

Pokémon Duel

Pokémon Duel was a strategy board game released for mobile phones in 2017. You moved Pokémon figures around a board and battled opponents. The game was stopped on October 31, 2019.

Pokémon Masters EX

Released in August 2019, Pokémon Masters EX is a 3-on-3 battle game for mobile phones. You team up with famous Pokémon Trainers from the series and their partner Pokémon to battle.

Camp Pokémon

Camp Pokémon is a free app for phones and tablets that offers fun mini-games and activities related to Pokémon.

Pokémon Home

Pokémon Home is a cloud service released in February 2020 for Nintendo Switch and mobile phones. It lets you store your Pokémon online and transfer them between different Pokémon games, like Sword and Shield, and even from Pokémon Go. There's a free version and a paid version with more storage.

Pokémon Smile

Pokémon Smile is a free mobile app released in June 2020 that uses your device's camera to make brushing your teeth into a fun game where you rescue Pokémon from bacteria.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket

This free mobile game, released on October 30, 2024, is a digital version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. You can collect cards, build decks, and battle other players.

PC and Computer Titles

These are Pokémon games designed for computers.

Pokémon TCG Online

Pokémon TCG Online was the official digital version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game for computers and mobile devices. It was stopped on June 7, 2023, and replaced by Pokémon TCG Live.

Pokémon Project Studio

Released in 1999, this computer program let you create Pokémon-themed projects like calendars and greeting cards using different Pokémon artwork.
