General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport (also known as Logan Airport) is a very busy airport. It is located in East Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It is one of the top 20 busiest airports in the U.S. Each year, over 27 million passengers travel through Logan Airport.

Logan Airport is a "focus city" for several airlines. This means these airlines use Logan as a key airport for many of their flights. Some of these airlines include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, US Airways, and JetBlue Airways.

The airport is quite large, covering about 2,400 acres (10 square kilometers). It has six runways for planes to take off and land. Around 16,000 people work at the airport. Logan Airport connects Boston to many places. You can fly to cities across the United States, as well as to Canada, the Cape Verde Islands, the Caribbean, Europe, and Mexico. In 2012, Japan Airlines started flights to Tokyo, adding service to Asia.

The airport's tall control tower is easy to spot. It's almost a dozen stories high and has a unique design. In 2010, Logan Airport was the 28th busiest airport in the world for the number of planes taking off and landing. It also ranks as the 12th busiest U.S. airport for international flights. Logan Airport helps the New England economy by over $7 billion every year.
