Madagascar is a large island nation located off the southeast coast of Africa. It first joined the exciting world of the Olympic Games in 1964. Since then, athletes from Madagascar have taken part in almost every Summer Olympics. They only missed the games in 1976 and 1988.

The biggest team Madagascar ever sent to the Summer Olympics was 10 athletes. This happened at the 2000 Sydney Games. So far, Madagascar has not won any Olympic medals. However, one athlete, Jean-Louis Ravelomanantsoa, made it to the final of the men's 100 metres race. This was at the 1968 Summer Olympics, where he finished in eighth place.

Madagascar also started competing in the Winter Olympics. Their first appearance was in 2006. After that, they didn't compete again until 2018.

Madagascar's Olympic Medals

Madagascar has sent athletes to both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Even though they haven't won any medals yet, their athletes always show great sportsmanship and determination.
