Osage County is a cool place located right in the middle of the U.S. state of Missouri. About 13,274 people lived there in 2020, according to the 2020 census. Its main town, or "county seat," is Linn. The county was created on January 29, 1841, and got its name from the nearby Osage River.
Osage County is also part of the bigger area around Jefferson City. It's known for its beautiful landscape and is connected to the "Missouri Rhineland," an area along the Missouri River valley famous for its vineyards.
