Ox Tales, also known as The Tales of Boes' Gang (げらげらブース物語, Geragera Būsu Monogatari), is a fun animated TV show. It was made by Telecable Benelux B.V. and Cosmos Studio, with help from Saban Entertainment. This show was a team effort between Japan and the Netherlands.

It is based on a Dutch comic strip called Boes, created by Wil Raymakers and Thijs Wilms. The series first aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from April 7, 1987, to March 29, 1988. There are 102 short episodes, each about 15 minutes long. These were usually shown two at a time, making 51 half-hour shows.

Ox Tales has two English versions. The first was made in 1989 by Saban. A newer version was produced in 2010 by m4e. The original Boes comic strip still appears in some Dutch newspapers today.

What's the Story About?

The show follows the funny adventures of Ollie the Ox. He runs a place called the Funny Farm, which is home to almost every animal you can imagine!

Ollie's best friend is Jack, a turtle. Their adventures are often narrated by a sarcastic toucan named Towilla.
