2018 FIFA World Cup Group H facts for kids
Group H of the 2018 FIFA World Cup was an exciting part of the big football tournament that happened from June 19 to 28, 2018. This group included four strong teams: Poland, Senegal, Colombia, and Japan. The main goal for each team was to finish in the top two spots in the group. If they did, they would move on to the next round, called the "Round of 16," where the competition gets even tougher!

Teams in Group H
Here are the teams that played in Group H:
- Poland: They qualified for the World Cup by winning their group in Europe. This was their 8th time playing in the World Cup. Their best finish before was third place in both 1974 and 1982.
- Senegal: They earned their spot by winning their group in Africa. This was only their 2nd time at the World Cup. In 2002, they made it all the way to the quarter-finals, which was a great achievement!
- Colombia: They qualified by finishing fourth in the South American qualifiers. This was their 6th World Cup appearance. Their best performance was reaching the quarter-finals in 2014.
- Japan: They secured their place by winning their group in Asia. This was also their 6th time at the World Cup. They had reached the Round of 16 twice before, in 2002 and 2010.
