Cameroon is a country in Central Africa. It first joined the Olympic Games in 1964. Since then, Cameroonian athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games.

In 1976, Cameroon left the 1976 Summer Olympics early. This was part of a big boycott by African countries. They protested against South Africa because of its unfair system called apartheid.

Cameroon has also participated in the Winter Olympic Games once. This was in 2002, with one athlete named Isaac Menyoli.

Overall, athletes from Cameroon have won six Olympic medals. This includes a gold medal in football at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
