The Governor has several important jobs and powers to help run the state. These powers are divided into different types:
Executive Powers
These powers are about managing the state. The Governor helps with:

- Appointments: Choosing important people for various government roles.
- Removals: Taking people out of their positions if needed.
Legislative Powers
These powers are about making laws. The Governor works with the state's law-making bodies, like the Vidhan Sabha or Vidhan Parishad. They play a role in how new laws are created and approved.
