Thomas William Hiddleston (born 9 February 1981) is a British actor. He is famous for playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This started with the movie Thor in 2011. He also starred in the Disney+ series Loki from 2021 to 2023.
Tom Hiddleston began his film career in independent movies. These included Unrelated (2007) and Archipelago (2010). In 2011, he appeared in Midnight in Paris and Steven Spielberg's War Horse. He was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award that year. He continued to work in different types of films. These included the vampire movie Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) and the horror film Crimson Peak (2015). He also played country singer Hank Williams in I Saw The Light (2015). He starred in the adventure film Kong: Skull Island (2017). On TV, he was the main actor and producer for The Night Manager (2016). For this role, he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

He grew up in Wimbledon and later moved near Oxford. He started boarding school at age seven. His parents divorced when he was twelve. At thirteen, he went to Eton College.
