Alamo City Comic Con (ACCC) is a super fun event held every year in downtown San Antonio, Texas. It's a huge party for fans of movies, TV shows, comic books, video games, and cosplay! Imagine meeting your favorite actors or comic artists – that's what ACCC is all about. It's the biggest convention in San Antonio and one of the largest of its kind in Texas.
ACCC has grown really fast. In 2014, about 73,000 people attended, and in 2015, over 78,000 fans joined the fun. A documentary film called Syfytonians was even made about the convention and its community in 2015.

How It Started
ACCC began in 2013. It was started by Alfredo "Apple" De La Fuente, who was a big fan of comics and pop culture. In its very first year, Alamo City Comic Con brought in over 34,000 people!
Fans in South Texas were excited about the first event. Famous guests included Steven Yeun (who played Glenn) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie) from The Walking Dead. Other big names like Sean Astin, Danny Trejo, Adam West, and Burt Ward also attended. Comic book creators Rob Liefield and Neal Adams were there too.
Growing Bigger
The convention almost doubled its size in 2014. It became one of the biggest comic book conventions in the country. The legendary Stan Lee was a special guest of honor that year. More stars from The Walking Dead like Scott Wilson, Chandler Riggs, and Emily Kinney also joined. Clark Gregg from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was another popular guest.
In its third year, ACCC welcomed Stan Lee back again. There was also a special reunion of actors from the TV show Sons of Anarchy, including Ron Perlman and Kim Coates. Other famous guests like Jon Bernthal, Michael Rooker, Ming-Na Wen, and director Robert Rodriguez were part of the exciting lineup.
