Unfinished Story: Charlie in the White House

Roald Dahl had plans for another book in the series. It was going to be called Charlie in the White House. In this story, Charlie's family and Mr. Wonka are invited to dinner. They would eat at the White House with President Gilligrass. This was a thank you for saving a spacecraft from strange creatures called Vermicious Knids. Dahl only wrote the first part of this story. You can see it on display at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. This museum is located in Great Missenden.

The Chocolate Factory Ride

You can even experience the factory in real life!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Ride (2006–2015)

This was a fun ride at the Alton Towers theme park. It was located in Staffordshire, England. The ride was based on the famous Roald Dahl book. It looked like the pictures drawn by Quentin Blake. The ride had two parts. First, you took a boat ride down the chocolate river. You saw characters from the book like Augustus Gloop and Veruca Salt. These were either moving figures or computer projections. After the boat, you watched a short video. It made you feel like you were trapped inside a TV. Then, you went into a 'Great Glass Elevator'. This room simulated flying through the factory. The walls and ceiling showed computer animations. The floor even trembled to make it feel like you were moving.
