The 3rd congressional district of Kansas is an area in the U.S. state of Kansas. It's one of four such districts in the state. These districts are special areas created for electing members to the United States House of Representatives. Each district chooses one person to represent its people in the U.S. Congress.
This district is in eastern Kansas. It includes all of Wyandotte and Johnson counties. It also covers parts of Miami county. The district is home to many cities in the Kansas City metropolitan area. These include Kansas City, Overland Park, Lenexa, Shawnee, Spring Hill, DeSoto, and Olathe.
Currently, Sharice Davids represents this district. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She was first elected in 2018.
