List of MPs elected in the 1741 British general election facts for kids
The 1741 British general election was an important event in Great Britain's history. It decided who would become a Member of Parliament (MP) and represent different parts of the country in the Parliament of Great Britain. This election was for the 9th Parliament of Great Britain.
The elections took place between April 30, 1741, and June 11, 1741. In total, 558 MPs were chosen from 314 different areas, called constituencies. These MPs would then work in Parliament to make laws and discuss important issues for the country. Sometimes, if an MP left their job or passed away, a special election called a by-election would be held to choose a replacement.
