The characters below are from the Disney Junior animated series, Sofia the First.

Princess Sofia (voiced by Ariel Winter) was a regular village girl. She became a princess when her mom married King Roland II. Sofia is kind, happy, and loves adventures, especially outdoors. She wears a special necklace called the Amulet of Avalor. This amulet lets her talk to animals! It can also call on other Disney Princesses to help her when she needs it. Sofia promised King Roland she would never take the amulet off.

In later seasons, Sofia became a Protector. Protectors are special heroes who keep the Ever Realm safe. She trains with a fairy Protector named Chrysta. Sofia got new tools like her Enchantlet and Necessi-Key. But an evil Crystal Master named Prisma escaped. Prisma teamed up with Twitch and Wormwood. They want to find nine evil objects called the "Wicked Nine." These objects belonged to famous Disney villains like the Evil Queen and Maleficent. Sofia, with her friends and family, works to stop them. In the end, Sofia becomes a full Protector and a Storykeeper. She even appears as a teenager in the Elena of Avalor show!

Meet the Main Characters

• Princess Amber (voiced by Darcy Rose Byrnes) is Sofia's older stepsister. She is Prince James's twin. At first, Amber was a bit spoiled and jealous. But Sofia helped her become a kinder person. Amber loves jewelry and keeping things neat. She later enjoys astronomy and going on adventures. She becomes queen of the Island of the Rompkins. Amber is also named the future queen of Enchancia. She appears as a teenager in Elena of Avalor.
• Prince James (voiced by Tyler Merna) is Sofia's older stepbrother. He is Amber's twin. James is King Roland's son. Unlike Amber, he is very adventurous and playful. He wants to become a knight when he grows up. James also appears as a teenager in Elena of Avalor.
• Queen Miranda (voiced by Sara Ramirez) is Sofia's mother. She was a shoemaker before marrying King Roland. She is also the stepmother to Amber and James.
• King Roland II (voiced by Travis Willingham) is Sofia's stepfather and Miranda's husband. He is the father of Amber and James. King Roland is the ruler of the kingdom of Enchancia.
• Cedric (voiced by Jess Harnell) is the royal sorcerer of Enchancia. He has a fun Cockney accent. At first, Cedric secretly wanted to take over the kingdom. He tried to steal Sofia's Amulet of Avalor many times. But he always failed! One time he did get it, but the amulet cursed him. It only worked for good deeds. In Season 4, Cedric became good. He made up with King Roland and helped Sofia. He is now known as "Cedric the Great."
• Baileywick (voiced by Tim Gunn) is the castle's main helper, called the steward. He works very hard and does his job well. He can be a bit overprotective of Sofia sometimes.
• Clover (voiced by Wayne Brady) is a rabbit and one of Sofia's best friends. Sofia can talk to him because of her amulet. Clover loves to eat, sometimes more than he thinks about royal duties!
• Robin (voiced by Meghan Strange) is a robin and another one of Sofia's animal friends. She is very close with Mia.
• Mia (voiced by Ashley Eckstein) is a bluebird and a friend of Sofia. She is also very close with Robin.

• Cinderella from Cinderella (voiced by Jennifer Hale) – She helps Sofia and Amber become true sisters. She sings a song called "True Sisters."

• Belle from Beauty and the Beast (voiced by Julie Nathanson) – She helps Sofia learn that actions are more important than words.

• Prince Hugo (voiced by Colin Ford and Grayson Hunter) is a prince who goes to Royal Prep. He started as a bully to Sofia. But Sofia helped him change, and they became friends. Hugo secretly loves ice-dancing.

• Miss Nettle (voiced by Megan Mullally) is a fairy who wanted to be better than her teachers. She also tried to get Sofia's amulet.
• Rosey (voiced by Pamela Adlon) is a magical talking rose. She is Miss Nettle's friend.
• Princess Ivy (voiced by Anna Camp) is an evil princess. She tried to take over Enchancia and make it black and white. Sofia and Amber stopped her. Later, she learns about love and helps Sofia.
• Prisma (voiced by Megan Hilty) is an evil Crystal Master. She is the main villain of Season 4. Prisma wants to become powerful by collecting the "Wicked Nine" evil objects. She blames Sofia for ruining her plans. In the end, an evil spirit named Vor possesses Prisma.
• The Locket of Vor (voiced by Paty Lombard) is a mysterious locket. It tells Prisma about the "Wicked Nine." It promises Prisma great power if she collects them all.
• Twitch (voiced by Jeff Bennett) is a creature called a Strangeling. He can change into any animal. Twitch helps Prisma escape and find the Locket of Vor. He later becomes Prisma's ally.
• Vor (voiced by Paty Lombard) is an ancient, wicked enchantress. Her spirit was trapped in the Locket of Vor. She possesses Prisma in the series finale. Vor tries to take over the Ever Realm. Sofia defeats Vor by trapping her in her amulet.
• Indigo (voiced by Bailey Gambertoglio) is an evil witch who causes trouble.
