Rodney Wallace, born on November 21, 1981, is an American mixed martial artist. He competed professionally from 2008 to 2017. Rodney fought in major organizations like the UFC and Bellator MMA. He also competed in the Heavyweight division.

Rodney's Early Life and Sports
Rodney Wallace was born in Bamberg, South Carolina. He moved to Passaic, New Jersey as a baby. At age 13, he returned to South Carolina. There, he started playing football and wrestling.
In high school, Rodney played football, wrestled, and ran track. He was a great wrestler. He won the South Carolina state championship three times. He won in his sophomore, junior, and senior years.
Rodney earned a scholarship to Catawba College for football. He was a top running back there from 2001 to 2004. He became the college's all-time leading rusher.
Rodney Wallace's Fighting Career
Rodney Wallace had a long career in mixed martial arts. He fought in many different organizations.
Fighting in the UFC
Rodney's first fight in the UFC was at The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale. He lost this fight to Brian Stann.
His next UFC fight was against Jared Hamman at UFC 111. Rodney lost this fight too. However, it was a very exciting match. Both fighters earned a "Fight of the Night" bonus.
Rodney was supposed to fight Stanislav Nedkov at UFC 117. But Nedkov got hurt. Phil Davis took his place. Rodney lost to Phil Davis. After this loss, Rodney left the UFC.
Fighting in Other Promotions
After leaving the UFC, Rodney fought in other events. He beat David Heath at MFC 27. Then he lost to Emanuel Newton at MFC 28.
Rodney also fought Derrick Mehmen at WMMA 1. He won that fight. Later, he faced Polish fighter Mamed Khalidov at KSW XIX. Rodney lost this fight by knockout.
He also fought Paulo Filho in Brazil. That fight ended in a draw.
Fighting in Bellator MMA
Rodney joined Bellator MMA in 2014. His first fight was at Bellator 116. He won against Carlos Eduardo.
Next, he fought Kelly Anundson at Bellator 121. Rodney lost this fight. In August 2014, Rodney left Bellator.
Fighting in Absolute Championship Berkut
Rodney's last mixed martial arts fight was in 2017. He fought Shamil Gamzatov at ACB 51. Rodney lost this fight by a split decision.
Bare Knuckle Boxing Career
After his mixed martial arts career, Rodney tried bare knuckle boxing. He fought Marko Martinjak for a world title. This fight was at the BKB 5 event in England. Rodney lost the fight in the first round.
