The Beatles were a famous rock band from the United Kingdom. Their discography is a list of all the music they officially released. This includes their studio albums, live recordings, and collections of songs.

Around the world, The Beatles released 12 studio albums (or 17 in the US). They also put out 5 live albums, 51 compilation albums, and 36 extended plays (EPs). Plus, they had 63 singles, 17 box sets, 22 video albums, and 53 music videos.

In their home country, the UK, they released 12 studio albums and 22 singles while they were still together as a band. Their early music, from 1962 to 1968, was released on a record label called Parlophone. Later, from 1968 to 1970, their music came out on their own label, Apple.

When their music first came out on compact discs (CDs) in 1987 and 1988, The Beatles' main collection of songs became the same everywhere. This collection included their 12 original UK studio albums. It also added the 1967 US album Magical Mystery Tour and the Past Masters albums. Past Masters collected all the songs released as singles or EP tracks that weren't on their main albums.

Today, this main collection has all 217 songs that The Beatles released from 1962 to 1970. These songs were meant for everyone to buy.

The Beatles' music releases were a bit tricky because different versions of their albums came out in different countries. This was especially true in North America with Capitol Records. Before 1967, it was common for British albums to be changed for the American market. The band wasn't happy about these changes. However, after 1967, most of their new albums were the same in both the UK and the US.

The Beatles' music was first released on vinyl records. Over time, their songs also came out on cassettes, 8-tracks, and CDs. Now, you can also find their music on USB flash drives and through digital music services.
