The Azerbaijan national futsal team is the official team that represents Azerbaijan in international futsal games. Futsal is a type of football played on a smaller field, usually indoors. The team is managed by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan.
This team plays in big competitions like the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the European Championships. As of August 2021, they were ranked 13th in the world. They are the highest-ranked team from the Caucasus region. In Europe, they were ranked 7th.
Azerbaijan's team first qualified for the FIFA Futsal World Cup in 2016. They have also played in the last six European Championships.

Team History: Azerbaijan Futsal
The Azerbaijan national futsal team made its first big appearance at the 2010 UEFA Futsal Championship. They played very well in the qualifying rounds and didn't lose any games. In their group, they finished second behind Portugal.
Recent Achievements in Futsal
The team's coach, Alesio, brought together a strong mix of players. This included talented local players like Vitaliy Borisov. They also had naturalized players from South America. Many players from the national team also played for the champion club Araz Naxçivan. This club reached the UEFA Futsal Cup finals.
Even though it was their first time, Azerbaijan finished in fourth place at the 2010 European Championship. This was the best result for a new team since the first tournament in 1996. One of Azerbaijan's players, Biro Jade, was a top scorer with five goals.

UEFA European Futsal Championship Results
The team has played in the European Championship six times. Their best result was finishing 4th place in 2010. In total, they have played 18 matches in the finals, winning 6, drawing 3, and losing 9. They scored 56 goals and conceded 72 goals. For qualification, they have played 42 matches, winning 23, drawing 8, and losing 11. They scored 152 goals and conceded 110 goals.

The Azerbaijan team has also done very well in smaller tournaments. They have won several "Four/Three Nations Cup" events.
