List of waterfalls facts for kids
Waterfalls are amazing natural wonders where rivers or streams drop down from a high place. They can be tall and thin, or wide and powerful! This article lists some of the most famous waterfalls around the world. To be on this list, a waterfall needs its own article on Wikipedia and must be at least 15 meters (about 50 feet) high. Some waterfalls are also included if they are very important historically.
There are many ways to measure waterfalls, so the heights and widths here are often estimates. This list doesn't rank waterfalls from best to worst. Every waterfall is special in its own way!
