Namur is a beautiful province located in Wallonia, which is one of the three main regions of Belgium. It shares borders with other Belgian provinces like Hainaut, Walloon Brabant, Liège, and Luxembourg. It also touches the French region of Ardennes.
The capital and largest city of the province is also called Namur. In January 2019, about 494,325 people lived in the province of Namur.

The province of Namur covers an area of about 3,675 square kilometers. It is divided into three main administrative areas called arrondissements (which is French for districts). These districts contain a total of 38 smaller towns and villages, known as communes in French.

Economy of Namur Province
The economy of Namur province is quite strong. In 2018, the total value of all goods and services produced there, known as the Gross domestic product (GDP), was 13.5 billion Euros. This made up about 2.9% of Belgium's entire economic output.
When we look at the GDP per person, adjusted for how much things cost, it was 24,000 Euros. This was about 80% of the average for countries in the European Union. This shows that the province has a good economy that supports its residents.
