Muppets Tonight is a fun American TV show. It mixes live actors with puppets, especially the famous The Muppets. This show was made by The Jim Henson Company. It was a bit like The Muppet Show, but instead of a theater, it took place in a busy TV studio.
Unlike the original Muppet Show, Muppets Tonight often had many guest stars. There was usually one main celebrity, but others would pop in for quick appearances. For example, in the Garth Brooks episode, Leonard Nimoy made a surprise visit.
The show first aired on ABC from March to July 1996. Later, Disney Channel showed reruns from 1997 to 2000.

What the Show Was Like
Muppets Tonight was set up as a variety and talk show on a TV channel called KMUP. Clifford was the host. The show followed a similar style to The Muppet Show. It had many different skits, often featuring the human guest star. At the same time, something funny or crazy would always be happening backstage!
