Kim Jun-myeon (Hangul: 김준면; born May 22, 1991), known as Suho (Hangul: 수호, meaning "guardian"), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is the leader of the popular K-pop group Exo and its sub-unit Exo-K.
Suho started his solo music career on March 30, 2020. He released his first album, Self-Portrait. Besides music, Suho has acted in many TV shows and movies. Some of his well-known works include One Way Trip (2016), The Universe's Star (2017), Rich Man (2018), and Missing Crown Prince (2024).

Growing Up in Seoul
Suho was born and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. His family lives in the Apgujeong area of Seoul. When he was younger, Suho was a very good student. He was even the class president in elementary school. Later, he became the vice-chairman of his school's student body. He went to the famous Whimoon High School.
Suho joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2006. He was 16 years old at the time. An SM casting manager found him on the street. In 2007, he had a small acting role in the Super Junior movie Attack on the ... Boys.
Suho's Music and Acting Journey
Starting with Exo and First Acting Roles
Suho was introduced as the tenth member of Exo on February 15, 2012. The group officially started in April 2012 with their album Mama. Suho became their leader.
In 2013, Suho lent his voice to the main character Bernard. This was for the Korean version of the animated movie Saving Santa. He also sang the movie's main song with Apink's Jung Eun-ji. In 2014, Suho became a host for the music show Inkigayo. He hosted with fellow Exo member Baekhyun and others. They left the show in November 2014 to focus on Exo's second album.
In 2015, Suho acted in a special hologram musical called School OZ. He played the character Hans. He also joined the TV show Fluttering India. On this show, he explored different places in Mumbai, India.
Movies, Dramas, and Solo Music
In March 2016, Suho made his first big movie appearance. It was in the indie film One Way Trip. This movie was shown at the 20th Busan International Film Festival. He also starred in the web drama How Are U Bread. In July 2016, Suho and Chen from Exo released a song together. It was called "Beautiful Accident" for a Chinese movie.
Suho played the main male role in the MBC drama The Universe's Star in January 2017. He also sang a song for the drama called "Starlight." In February 2017, he worked with jazz pianist Song Young-joo on the song "Curtain." From December 2017 to March 2018, he starred in the musical The Last Kiss. He played Crown Prince Rudolf.
In March 2018, Suho worked with Jang Jae-in on two songs: "Dinner" and "Do you have a moment." In May 2018, Suho returned to TV in Rich Man. He played an IT company founder. He also starred in the film "Student A," based on a webtoon. From July to August 2018, Suho acted in the musical The Man Who Laughs. He played Gwynplaine and received great reviews. In October 2019, a VR film called "The Present" was released. Suho played a young business owner named Ha-Neul.
Solo Debut and Military Service
On March 30, 2020, Suho released his first solo album, Self-Portrait. The main song was "Let's Love." He was the fourth Exo member to release solo music. His album was very popular, selling over 290,000 copies in South Korea. He won awards on three main music shows, a first for an Exo member.
On May 14, Suho began his mandatory military service. He served as a public service officer. He finished his service on February 13, 2022.
After his military service, Suho released his second album, Grey Suit, on April 4, 2022. This was his first music release after returning. In October 2022, he worked with Thai actor-singer Mew Suppasit on the song "Turn Off The Alarm." He also released "Call me a Freak" for the TV show Bad Prosecutor.
In March 2023, Suho was cast in the musical Mozart!. He played the main role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In August 2023, Suho returned to TV in Behind Your Touch. He also had a small role in Arthdal Chronicles in October 2023.
In January 2024, Suho was confirmed to star in Missing Crown Prince. The show was released on April 13, 2024. He also sang a song for the show's soundtrack. In May 2024, Suho announced his third album, 1 to 3. It included the songs "1 to 3" and "Cheese," featuring Wendy.
Education and Giving Back
In 2009, Suho started studying at Korea National University of Arts. He later moved to Kyung Hee Cyber University in 2011. He studied Business Administration there with fellow Exo members Chanyeol and Baekhyun. In 2016, Suho began studying for a master's degree in Culture Management at Inha University.
Since 2019, Suho has regularly donated his personal items. These items are auctioned off by the Shiny Foundation. This foundation was started by the family of SHINee's Jonghyun. Suho is also listed as a donor to the Seoul National University Hospital. He has given more than ₩50 million (US$FXConvert/Wordify error: cannot parse value "Undefined year "2023"") (about $36,000 USD). In April 2024, Suho joined a fundraiser for Palestinian children in Gaza. This event was organized by UNICEF Korea.

Suho World Concert Tour "Su:Home" (2024)
Suho began his first solo world concert tour called "Su:Home" in 2024. He started with two concerts in Seoul, South Korea. Then, he announced more dates across Asia. Later, dates for Europe and Dubai were also planned, though some European shows were later canceled. An encore concert in Seoul is planned for January 2025.
