Acre, known to locals as Akko (Hebrew: עַכּוֹ, ʻAkkō) or Akka (Arabic: عكّا, ʻAkkā), is a city in the Mediterranean coastal plain region of the Northern District of Israel. Its residents include Jews and Arabs, mostly Muslims.
