Spider-Man (also known as Marvel's Spider-Man) is an American animated TV show. It is based on the famous Marvel Comics character. This show took the place of an earlier series called Ultimate Spider-Man. The first season started on August 19, 2017, on Disney XD. The third season was called Spider-Man: Maximum Venom and began on April 19, 2020.
The Story of Spider-Man
Season 1: Peter Becomes Spider-Man
The story begins with a smart teenager named Peter Parker. He gets amazing superpowers after a radioactive spider bites him during a school trip to Oscorp Industries. Later, after his Uncle Ben is killed by a burglar Peter could have stopped, Peter decides to use his powers for good. He becomes the superhero Spider-Man.
Peter also starts at Horizon High, a special school for super-smart students. The head of the school is Max Modell. Peter has to learn how to balance fighting crime with his school life. He faces villains like Norman Osborn, Jackal, and many others. His friends Gwen Stacy, Miles Morales (who also gets spider-like powers and becomes Ultimate Spider-Man), and Anya Corazon join him. His best friend Harry Osborn even becomes a hero called Hobgoblin.
Other bad guys in this season include Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Venom, and Rhino. You also meet characters like May Parker, Iron Man, and Hulk.
Season 2: The Superior Spider-Man and Goblin Nation
A few months later, Peter is in his second year of high school. Doctor Octopus tries to take over Peter's body to become the Superior Spider-Man. But Peter's memories of Uncle Ben help Otto Octavius (Doctor Octopus) realize his mistake. Otto then helps Peter and tries to become a better person.
Later in the season, Spider-Man and his friends find a group called the Goblin Nation. This group is led by Adrian Toomes (the Vulture) and uses the same kind of technology as Norman Osborn's Green Goblin.
In this season, Peter starts working at the Daily Bugle. Anya becomes Spider-Girl, and Gwen becomes Ghost-Spider. Spider-Man also forms a "Spider Team" with his closest friends. More villains appear, like Chameleon and Electro. New heroes like Cloak and Dagger and Ms. Marvel also show up.
Season 3: Maximum Venom and New Beginnings
Two weeks after Season 2, Spider-Man discovers two big problems involving Venom. First, he has to help Max Modell stop an invasion of alien creatures called Klyntar (like Venom) that Venom called to Earth. Second, Dr. Connors tries to blame Max for Venom's actions.
It turns out that Norman Osborn was secretly behind both plots. With help from Hobgoblin, the Spider Team reveals Norman's plan. Max gets his job back from Connors. The team defeats Venom and the Klyntar, but Horizon High school is destroyed. To keep their school's spirit alive, they convince Iron Man to help them start a new tech lab called Worldwide Engineering Brigade, or "W.E.B." Peter believes this is a great start for their future.
In this season, Max Modell reveals he knew Spider-Man's secret identity. Gwen and Anya also learn who Spider-Man really is. Norman Osborn briefly turns into a scary Dark Goblin before changing back. Peter also becomes friends with Mary Jane Watson. New villains like Scream and Swarm appear. Other heroes like Ironheart and Doctor Strange join the adventure.
