The coronation of Charles III and Camilla was a special event where Charles became King and Camilla became Queen of the United Kingdom. This grand ceremony happened on 6 May 2023. About 2,200 people were invited to attend. Guests included members of the royal family, leaders from the Church of England, important politicians, and leaders from other countries. Many famous people from Britain and around the world also came.
People from 203 countries were invited to the coronation service. Representatives from at least 158 countries actually attended. This included 16 kings and queens, 70 heads of state (like presidents), and 10 prime ministers. Many of these guests also went to a reception on 5 May and a concert on 7 May.
