List of selective high schools in New South Wales facts for kids
Did you know that some high schools in New South Wales are a bit special? These are called selective high schools and agricultural high schools. They are run by the NSW Department of Education. These schools are for students who show strong academic skills or a special talent.
To get into these schools, students usually take a test called the Selective High Schools Test. This test is for students in Year 6. It helps the department decide who gets a place. Students can choose up to three schools they would like to attend.
Besides these, there are other government and private high schools that also choose students based on their talents. For example, some schools focus on creative and performing arts. Some private schools also have their own selection process.
