List of Wimbledon gentlemen's doubles champions facts for kids

The Wimbledon Championships is one of the most famous tennis tournaments in the world. It is held every year in London, England. This article focuses on the Gentlemen's Doubles tournament, where two male players team up against another pair.

The Gentlemen's Doubles competition started in 1884. However, there were no tournaments from 1915 to 1918 and from 1940 to 1945. This was because of the two World Wars.

William and Ernest Renshaw

Brothers Laurence and Reginald Doherty won the Gentlemen's Doubles title eight times from 1897 to 1906.
