European Gymnastics is an important sports organization. It represents the sport of gymnastics across Europe. It is one of five groups that work with the International Gymnastics Federation (also known as FIG).

This organization started on March 27, 1982. Back then, it was called the European Union of Gymnastics (or UEG). On April 1, 2020, it changed its name to European Gymnastics. Its main office is in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Gymnastics Competitions

European Gymnastics organizes many exciting competitions. These are called the European Gymnastics Championships. They are held for different types of gymnastics.

Recent Events

In 2022, after a major conflict began, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) made some important decisions. They decided that athletes and officials from Russia could not take part in their events. Also, any FIG World Cup events planned for Russia were canceled. The Russian flag was also not allowed at FIG events.
