Boomerang is a TV channel in Australia that shows cartoons. It's a "pay television" channel, which means you usually need a subscription to watch it. The channel is owned by a big company called Warner Bros. Discovery. It's also like a sibling channel to Cartoon Network.

About Boomerang Australia

Boomerang first started in Australia on 14 March 2004. It was part of a new TV service called Foxtel Digital. At first, Boomerang mostly showed classic cartoons. These were old favorites from famous studios like Warner Bros., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and Hanna-Barbera.

Over time, the channel started showing newer cartoons too. This made its lineup more modern. Boomerang was also available on another TV service called Fetch TV starting in January 2017.

How Boomerang's Look Changed

On 1 December 2012, Boomerang got a fresh new look. It started using the same logo as the Boomerang channel in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe. The channel also changed its picture format to 16:9, which is a wider screen view.

Then, on 3 November 2014, Boomerang changed its logo and overall look again. This was part of a big worldwide update for all Boomerang channels. By 2015, this new design was seen in Asia, Oceania, the United States, and Europe.

On 22 April 2021, Boomerang was no longer available on Fetch TV. Its sister channel, Cartoon Network, also left Fetch TV at the same time.
