Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The Hampshire Book Awards are a special set of yearly prizes for amazing kids' books. These awards are organized by the School Library Service, which is part of Hampshire County Council.

There are four different awards:

  • Hampshire Information Book Award

Each award celebrates a different type of book and involves young readers in choosing the winners!

Hampshire Book Award: Your Vote Counts!

The Hampshire Book Award celebrates children's books that came out in paperback during the past year. Around June, students from Year 8 across Hampshire gather for a special event. They get to vote for their favorite book to win! Later, in October, there's a celebration. The winning author is invited to attend if they can.
